Here are the common Animals and Reptiles seen by Students during our time in and around Mt. Abu. Yes, at school there were a good number of guys who use to kill snakes for their skin. One other guy Calvert Gonsalves use actually peel the snake skin from the teeth inside out. Apply salt and keep it to dry. Then preserve it. The school had a place at the Brother's quarters where White Pigeons, Parrots, Bulbul's, Tortoises were kept. Brother Gale from Australia also had a fish tank with allot of silver fish from the local lake kept which he use keep in his room. I remember one time Brother Gale woke up one morning after being stung on his face by a Scorpion which he caught and kept aside in a bottle. He use to show us slide shows of birds and animals with his projector. He had with him an Emus (color was dark green blue) and Ostrich's egg.
